The relationship between actual and virtual is one of the points of classic visual arts in the times of the contemporary ‘constellation of data’ known as Internet, because there is a dichotomy between experienced and simulated.  Is it a digital image able to transmit the same emotion as the original? What about the power of substitution? Do we still need the artifact itself or an image made of pixels is sufficient?
